A LITTLE BACKGROUND
Years of being in the service industry in promotional/sales and management positions, allowed me to understand clients, their wants and needs. An on the job chemical accident as the owner of a successful cleaning business led me to the world of natural. My love of cleaning and the pleasure it gave me to see the end result of my hard work naturally brought me to the world of a much needed service. Cleaning with a twist. Offering more than the other cleaning business were, adding value to my services. Within a year I had a waiting list and within two I had employees. By my seventh year I was in 4 cities and their surrounding towns. I did this with absolutely no money going towards advertising for clients. I found the crack in the residential cleaning industry and I filled it. There is a still a crack and you could be the service that fills it.

MANUAL 1 DOORS & WINDOWS Quick Tip - When using your cloth always start with the least dirty and end with the dirtiest. For example, always clean the glass first and then end off with the ledge where there is more dirt MANUAL 2 LAMPS & CEILING FIXTURESQuick Tip - Always make sure lights are off and bulbs are cooled before touching with a damp cloth to ensure the bulb does not explode on contact and you don't melt your microfiber cloth or duster onto the hot bulb. MANUAL 3 FLOORS Quick Tip - Whether you hand wash or mop, it is important to always get in the corner and along the edges where build up occurs. Don't forget the baseboards. MANUAL 4 TABLE & CHAIRS Quick Tip - When finished dusting cabinets, dressers and tables, get down to eye lever of the flat surfaces to ensure you have not left the dreaded triangle of missed dust behind. The client will definitely notice if you don't. MANUAL 5 SOFAS & CHAIRS Quick Tip - Use vacuum hose with crevice tool to clean under furniture. The crevice tool will ensure you do not suck up loose objects that can clog the vacuum. MANUAL 6 NIC NACS & STUFF Quick Tip - Your dry paint brush is your best friend when it comes to dusting nic nacs and electronics. MANUAL 7 STOVES Quick Tip - if the drip trays and rings have been badly neglected, inform the client you will do your best but you cannot promise bringing them back to 'new'. Sometimes it is cheaper for the client to purchase new rings and drip trays MANUAL 8 REFRIGERATORS Quick Tip - Dwell time is what makes cleaning easier so when you are cleaning the inside of the fridge, spray areas that are in need of extra attention first and let sit while you work on other areas. MANUAL 9 MICROWAVES & DISHWASHERS Quick Tip - If a conventional stainless polisher has been used the best way to easily polish is to have a spray bottle of 1/2 cup of olive oil and filtered water. Shake and spray onto the cloth, wipe, following the grain and then with a dry clean cloth, polish to a shine. MANUAL 10 SMALL APPLIANCESQuick Tip - Do you know how many cleaning services neglect the crumb tray of the toaster .....find crumb trays under toaster. Remove or unhinge and empty crumbs into the appropriate container. Turn toaster upside down and gently shake into garbage to remove stray crumbs. MANUAL 11 KITCHEN SINKS Quick Tip - The spray bottle can be a powerful dirt remover when the nozzle is in the stream position. Placed close to build up in hard to reach areas the spray will loosen the dirt for an easy wipe. MANUAL 12 TOILETS Quick Tips - If a toilet lid is down, flush the toilet before lifting the lid just in case. It is never a nice surprise to lift a lid and find it not flushed. MANUAL 13 SHOWER & TUBS Quick Tip - Feel the bottom and edge of shower before choosing to use the non-abrasive scrub. If there is no soap scum residue, it does not need to be used. MANUAL 14 ELECTRONICS Quick Tip - Never spray directly on to any electronic. Always spray the cloth and always spray away from the electronics
THE CLEANING STANDARD MANUALS
Manuals for the new or transitioning business owners in the the residential sector of the cleaning and/or maid service industry...small office too.
To be successful in training your cleaning techs, you need to Create a Foundation - Incorporate a pattern to be followed by everyone. Encourage Consistency - Have everyone follow the same pattern every day. Gain Familiarity - The pattern becomes second nature allowing for no hesitation toward the next step and speed will pick up without affecting the foundation. If you don't have to think you do not disconnect from the flow
I have learned a lot in my 18 years in the cleaning industry, starting off as a company using conventional industrial strength cleaning products, abruptly switching to an Eco business using only 100% natural cleaning products (on the job accident). Determined to be a pioneer of natural cleaning in our area, I struggled to get people to accept the changes. I was successful for one reason....I was willing to be open minded (left my ego at the door) and learn from the best in the industry so that my cleaning techs and I could offer the best to our clients. It worked! Through my desire to learn, my business grew and clients became loyal ambassadors spreading the word. The price I paid and the time I spent to be successful was a pittance compared to the income my business created without ever spending a dime on advertising. The Cleaning Standard Manuals, if followed properly, will help you achieve that success. I've done all the hard work, you just have to incorporate the steps provided in each manual and you will soon find you are achieving your success as a business owner in the cleaning industry.
Each purchased manual contains a list of the tools you will need and step by step instructions on how to complete each task. Every manual also contains a 'believe it or not' area which points out generally missed areas and quick tips. By incorporating the easy to follow steps in each manual everyday in your business, you will find yourself standing out from the rest in no time.
Each manual is $20 (HST included). Purchase all 14 for $195 (HST included).
